Maxie Adler is a Tucson-based artist whose work traces stories held in landscape and vanishing wild places, with an eye towards archiving the ephemeral or unseen.

Maxie was born and raised in the Sonoran Desert and is deeply rooted in its textured and resilient lands. Her work honors the water, plants, and wildlife that call the region home. Through public installations, land-based works, and community engagement, she highlights the threads that bind us to each other and the natural world, bridging environmental consciousness with collective care.

Maxie holds an Honors BFA in Fibers from Arizona State University. Her work has been covered by Arizona Daily Star, KJZZ, and BorderLore.

Her recent works include Landing Place, a temporary installation along the Santa Cruz River supported by MOCA Tucson’s Night Bloom Grant. She currently serves on the organizing councils of both the Santa Cruz River Refuge Coalition and the Tucson Birthplace Open Space Coalition (TBOSC), contributing to local environmental and cultural preservation efforts.
